The AristaFlow Spreadsheet Router is being used with great enthusiasm by around 100 economics students at the University of Ulm in the course "Business Information Systems".
In the lecture part of the course, the budding business economists deal with the theoretical and technological foundations of business information systems. They learn concepts for the modeling, analysis and visualization of business information. In addition, they deal with the basics of modeling, analysis, automation and evaluation of business processes.
In the practice part, the students get a good insight into information analysis and visualization with Excel. In addition, they learn how information-intensive business processes can be modeled, executed and monitored on the tool side. This is exactly where the AristaFlow Spreadsheet Router comes into play - enabling intuitive and rapid modeling of information-intensive processes and their Excel-based execution. Students create executable processes and can perform for example process-related evaluations of information with Excel, without you need any programming or computer science skills.
With the AristaFlow Spreadsheet Router, the University of Ulm offers its students a unique opportunity to strengthen their acquired knowledge in practical use while gaining initial experience with a modern process management tool. In addition a comment of the lecturer Prof. dr. Manfred Reichert (Director of the Institute for Databases and Information Systems, University of Ulm): "The Spreadsheet Router is the ideal tool for us to give students practical skills in the modeling, execution and evaluation of processes. The easy and intuitive operation of the Spreadsheet Router and the numerous training videos are enormously helpful and allow students without computer skills to familiarize themselves with them in the shortest possible time as well as independently model processes and execute and evaluate them with Excel. Overall, a great thing!"
